TORONTO – One person is dead and another was injured after a two vehicle crash near Hwy 6 and Freelton Rd. in Hamilton Thursday afternoon.
OPP Constable Lisa MacIntyre tells Global News that the accident happened at approximately 5:15 p.m. when a pick-up truck travelling northbound on Hwy 6 and and a car travelling southbound collided.

The driver of the car was pronounced at the scene, while the driver of the pick up truck was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time. No word yet on whether charges will be laid.
Hwy 6 will remain closed until 10 p.m. as the Traffic Support Unit continues its investigation.
