Montreal police locate truck driver after pedestrian hit in Saint-Leonard

Montreal police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a truck in Saint-Leonard early Wednesday morning.

The truck driver was driving on Langelier Boulevard around 6:20 a.m. when he turned on Jean-Talon Street and struck a 28-year-old woman.

Police spokesperson Manuel Couture said the woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but her life is no longer in danger.

The truck driver who initially left the scene is meeting with investigators. Couture said it is possible the 38-year-old man didn’t realize the collision occurred.

No arrests have been made.
