Police identify woman killed in Winnipeg’s 11th homicide

Update, Wednesday July 31:

The name of the woman who died in this home has been removed from this story, to protect the identity of her 17-year-old son, who has been charged with first degree murder in her death.

Winnipeg police have identified the victim in the city’s 11th homicide.

The woman, 51, died in hospital Tuesday after being assaulted in her Southdale home, said police.

Neighbours told Global News on Wednesday that the victim lived in the Rockcliffe Road home with her teenage son.
