Evraz was fined a total of $100,000 this week for a charge stemming from a workplace injury.
The injury that took place on Feb. 15, 2017, at the company’s facility in Regina.
A worker ruptured his quadriceps tendon stepping down into a pit.

Evraz pleaded guilty on March 19 in Regina provincial court to one count under Occupational Health and Safety regulations for failing to provide and maintain a safe means of entrance and exit from a worksite, resulting in a serious injury to a worker.
The Toronto-based company was fined $71,429 plus a $28,571 surcharge.
