2 charged after police seize $2K in heroin during traffic stop in Bracebridge

Two people have been charged after drugs were seized in Bracebridge, police say.

Ontario Provincial police say on Thursday, following an investigation, officers conducted a traffic stop on Eccelstone Drive.

Police say as a result, approximately $2,000 worth of heroin was seized.

Officers say 31-year-old Jordan David Sander from Bracebridge and 22-year-old Taylor Devitt from Huntsville were each charged with possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking.

Police say Sander was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Bracebridge on Friday.

Devitt was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Bracebridge on April 16.
