A man from Cookstown has been charged after police received reports of domestic violence incidents in Innisfil.
South Simcoe police say on Monday, officers launched an investigation after a 30-year-old woman was reportedly assaulted and threatened on multiple occasions.
Police say as a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old man from Cookstown was arrested and charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, assault and possession of a firearm or weapon contrary to a prohibition order.

Officers say the man was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
According to police, the woman did not require medical treatment.
