A Nova Scotia man is facing attempted murder and assault charges after an altercation at a home in Oakfield.
The incident happened just after midnight on March 13.
RCMP say they arrived to find three people inside the home.
It was reported a 33-year-old man had come to the home and assaulted a 40-year-old man with a tool case, which led to serious injuries. Police say the victim is still under medical care.

According to police, a 50-year-old woman tried to intervene but was assaulted as well. She did not receive any injuries.
A third woman was at home during the altercation and called police.

Dave John Simms, 33, of Enfield was arrested at the scene. He is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault and uttering threats.
Sims is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on April 26.
