Chase Fraser scored 1:51 into overtime to give the National Lacrosse League (NLL)-leading Buffalo Bandits (11-3) a 12-11 win over the Saskatchewan Rush (6-5) Saturday night.
Corey Small, Shawn Evans and Dhane Smith led Buffalo with two goals apiece.
“We were arguably the better team for much of the game, but we just didn’t get the bounce at the right time,” said Rush GM/head coach Derek Keenan.
The Rush rallied from a 9-5 deficit to take an 11-10 lead before Evans scored to tie it with 2:09 left in regulation.
The loss snapped the Rush’s three-game win streak.
Mark Matthews led the Rush with four goals and three assists, while Jeff Shattler, Mike Messenger and Ben McIntosh had two goals apiece.
The Rush travel to San Diego to face the Seals on Friday.
