This summer, the Smashing Pumpkins and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will join forces.
It was annouced on Monday morning that the grunge legends and former Oasis songwriter will embark on a 16-date trek through North America.
The August tour kicks off on the 8th in Camden, N.J. and concludes in Mountain View, Calif. on the 31st. Along the way, the bands will make a sole Canadian stop in Toronto on Aug. 13.
California-based punk outfit AFI were also revealed to be the special guests opening each gig throughout the entire tour.

Billy Corgan and the rest of the Pumpkins are still flying high in wake of their long-awaited classic lineup reunion. This tour comes as an extension of the ‘Shiny and Oh So Bright’ tour which kicked off in 2018.
Lead guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin rejoined the band in late 2017 to record new original material. They were joined by longstanding Pumpkins guitarist, Jeff Schroeder.
Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun (2018) was the group’s first album in more than 18 years to feature all three founding members — the last being Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music (2000).
The critically-acclaimed tour began in Portland last March. The extensive run celebrated the 30th anniversary of the band and the long-awaited reunion of the classic Pumpkins lineup (minus bassist D’Arcy Wretzky).

After more than a year, Noel Gallagher’s ‘Who Built the Moon?’ tour has finally concluded. He’s expected to premiere some brand new material during the Pumpkins’ tour.
Gallagher and his band are scheduled to drop a brand new EP entitled Wait & Return this Record Store Day on April 13.
The rocker’s younger and more notorious brother, Liam Gallagher had some choice words to say regarding the joint tour announcement.
When asked by a fan whether the former frontman would be joining the High Flying Birds, he replied, “Pumpkins n’ potatoes? Whatever. Next.”
The Gallagher brothers have been feuding seemingly since their birth, but the pair lost contact after the breakup of Oasis in 2009.
While millions of fans across the globe are still hopeful for the Britpop legends to make a comeback, the two are individually involved with their own successful solo projects. Liam Gallagher released his debut solo album, As You Were in 2017 and is currently working on a follow-up.
