Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who they say may be able to help them track down a missing person.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the woman that was taken in the area of Cannon and Wellington streets around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 23.

Officers believe the woman may have information that could help with their investigation into Thomas Heaney.

Police say Heaney was reported missing on Feb. 18 and was last seen on that day in the East Mountain area at approximately 4 p.m.

Heaney is described as about five feet nine inches tall with a thin build.

Police are asking the woman or anyone who knows her to contact the staff sergeant office of Division 3 of the Hamilton police at 905-546-3886.
