Multiple reports out of Hollywood state that Perry, 52, suffered a “massive stroke” on Wednesday, but as of this writing, Global News hasn’t confirmed that as the cause of his hospitalization.

Perry’s representative, Arnold Robinson, confirmed to Global News that the actor is “currently under observation at the hospital,” but didn’t elaborate on his specific health condition.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to Perry’s home address around 9:40 a.m. after a “medical assistance” call. Authorities said that one person was transported to an undisclosed Los Angeles-area hospital, but they would not confirm it was Perry.

Coincidentally, a 90210 reboot (of sorts) — not featuring Perry but the majority of the original cast — was confirmed on the same day.

He currently stars on Riverdale as Archie Andrews’ dad, Fred.

Perry’s former costars and friends, including Shannen Doherty and Ian Ziering, took to social media to share their condolences.
