Guelph police closed a stretch of Victoria Road North after a crash on Tuesday afternoon.
The two-vehicle crash happened just north of Speedvale Avenue in the northbound lanes.
A flatbed truck was hauling a load of steel beams that broke loose during the collision and slid into the back of the cab.
Debris was also scattered all over the road.

Police closed the northbound lanes and said the road would be closed for most of the afternoon.
It’s unknown if any charges will be laid.
