A woman has been charged with assault following an incident in Gravenhurst, police say.
According to Bracebridge OPP, on Friday just before 4:30 p.m., a woman was walking on the sidewalk when a vehicle stopped beside her.
Officers say a woman jumped out and allegedly sprayed the victim in the face with a chemical and assaulted her.
Police say officers were able to locate the suspect quickly and she was arrested.

Officers say the suspect was known to the victim.
According to police, 22-year-old Kate Van Loan from Gravenhurst has been charged with assault.
Police say the accused is scheduled to appear in court in Bracebridge on March 26.
