Now it's been quite the year for Holtby… he carried the Olympic Torch, and was named Outstanding Goaltender of the ECHL Skills Competition. He leads the AHL with a 1.82 Goals Against Average while earning a 15-2-1 record and a .935 Save Percentage. He was called up by the Capitals on October 17th for a game against Nashville and tonight he'll get his second shot with the main club.

Jose Theodore is day-to-day with a lower body injury and with Semyon Varlamov on the iR – the Caps are hurting in between the pipes. Michael Neuvirth will get the start in tonight's game against the Anaheim Ducks but should he struggle, Braden Holtby could see his first NHL action.

The Washington Capitals are on a hot streak having won seven straight games. A win tonight would mark the first time since 1989 that the club has won eight in a row.
