Police investigate after Cookstown business reportedly broken into

Police are investigating after a business in Cookstown was reportedly broken into.

According to South Simcoe police, on Thursday just before 8:30 p.m., a business located in a plaza off of Highway 89 was broken into.

Police say an investigation revealed an unknown suspect entered the business and left with a quantity of cash.

Officers say the investigation is ongoing.

“The plaza is busy at that time of day and we would like to hear from witnesses,” the police release reads.
