In a tweet posted just before 2 p.m. Thursday, police said they had received a number of reports of falling ice at various locations in the city.

“At this time as temperatures have gotten a bit milder, we’d like to urge everyone to please use caution as you go about your day,” the tweet said.

Earlier in the day, police closed Yonge Street between College and Gerrard streets because of ice falling from the buildings in the area.
