A man has been arrested following an alleged downtown robbery in Cobourg which occurred across from the police station.
Cobourg Police Service says around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, an officer responded to reports of a robbery in progress at Mr. Sub, a business on King Street West which is directly across the street from the police detachment.
Police say a man wearing a mask allegedly left the Mr. Sub with a small amount of cash stolen from a cash registrar.

The officer made a quick arrest of a suspect.
Jordan Cross, 23, was arrested and charged with robbery and disguise with intent.
He was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Cobourg on Wednesday.
