Natural gas use in Saskatchewan has tied the 24-hour record for the province.
SaskEnergy said 1.50 petajoules was consumed between 9 a.m. on Feb. 7 and 9 a.m. on Feb. 8.
The record was first set on Dec. 30, 2017.

Saskatchewan is currently in the midst of a days-long cold snap, with daytime highs in the high -20s and nighttime lows into the -40s.
SaskEnergy said consumption was especially high for power production, enhanced oil recovery, and mining.
Officials also said customer growth is also driving more frequent usage records.
A petajoule is equivalent to one-million gigajoules (GJ) of natural gas. A typical home in Saskatchewan will use 100 GJ annually.
