A water main break in Pointe-Claire, in Montreal’s West Island, has caused significant flooding on several streets.

“Our teams are working hard to repair a water main break on a 14” pipe, which caused flooding in some homes,” the city stated.

The water supply on Victoria Avenue has been shut off and a boil water advisory has been issued for area residents.

The area surrounding the Pointe-Claire Curling Club and the Hermitage Park neighbourhood has been affected.

Several homes on Brunet Avenue, perpendicular to Lakeshore Drive, which runs along the water, have also been flooded.

Lakeshore Drive between Victoria and Bowling Green avenues has been reopened to traffic.
