The Ontario Provincial Police announced Friday that they have charged the driver of the bus that crashed in June on Highway 401 near Prescott, killing three.

The charges were initially laid on Nov. 26 of last year but the announcement of the charges being made public was delayed due to the difficulty in notifying those involved in the crash.
Most of the passengers on the bus were Chinese citizens visiting Canada from China.
As a result of this collision, three passengers died and a further 34 were injured.
The male driver, Jia Qi, 31, of Flushing, N.Y., was charged with careless driving. The driver is scheduled to appear in court in Brockville on Feb. 28.
