Bridgewater man, 38, killed in crash on Hwy 103

A 38-year-old Nova Scotia man has died after a two-vehicle crash involving a small car and a tractor-trailer.

RCMP responded to the crash on Highway 103 between exits 12 and 13 in Lunenburg County just before 7 p.m. Thursday.

Police say their initial investigation determined that the car crossed the centre line into the path of the truck.

The truck had been headed east and the car was headed west.

The drive, and only occupant, of the car died at the scene. He was from Bridgewater.

The driver of the truck received minor injuries.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist was on scene for several hours. Traffic between exits 12 and 13 was re-opened Friday morning at 11 a.m.
