1 person dead after 3-vehicle crash near Lucan

Middlesex OPP are appealing to the public for information about a fatal collision just outside of Lucan.

Officers say two big rigs and a passenger vehicle crashed at Highway 23 and Fallon Drive at around 6:30 a.m. on Friday.

The passenger vehicle collided with a northbound big rig on Fallon Drive, and then a southbound tractor-trailer became involved in a secondary collision, police say.

One person died as a result of the crash. Police identified the victim Friday afternoon as Erin McComb, 50, of Lucan.

The OPP says the roadway remains closed as investigators continue work at the scene.
