Service disruptions persist on the Union Pearson Express, GO Transit and the TTC’s Line 3 due to the extreme cold weather.
A number of UP Express trains were cancelled early Thursday morning as a result of equipment issues. The entire line had to be closed for several hours before it reopened with limited service at noon.
The same problem occurred Wednesday evening which caused trains from Union Station to Toronto Pearson Airport to shut down.
GO buses are operating between Union and Pearson to move passengers along.
GO trains also experienced delays on multiple lines during the morning rush hour as a result of track switch, equipment and operational issues.
Meanwhile, the Scarborough RT is also out of service Thursday morning. Similarly, shuttle buses are being used in its place.
The northbound and southbound subway trains on Line 1 from Finch to Union is also experiencing longer travel times due to a signal problem.
