An extreme cold warning will remain in place for one more night for most of eastern Saskatchewan from the north to just before the southern border.
Environment Canada said very cold wind chills or colder will redevelop Wednesday night in areas near the Manitoba border.
A low pressure system moving in from Alberta will bring warmer temperatures to the province on Thursday.
In the northeast, wind chill values will range between -45 to -50.
Frostbite can occur in less than 10 minutes at these values.
Anyone heading outside should dress warmly and in layers and ensure the outer layer is wind resistant. Anyone working outside should take regular breaks to warm up.
Emergency supplies, such as extra blankets and jumper cables should be kept in vehicles.
