Innovation Saskatchewan is accepting applications for its new Made in Saskatchewan Technology (MIST) program.

MIST is designed to improve public service delivery in government through products from Saskatchewan technology-based companies.

Chosen applicants will receive a government contract of up to $10,000. Their product will receive feedback and validation from government users.

“Saskatchewan is home to a thriving technology sector, and the MIST program is another way the government can encourage its growth,” said Tina Beaudry-Mellor, Saskatchewan’s innovation minister.

Companies need to be based in Saskatchewan, have annual revenue under $500,000, and have no more than 30 employees.

If accepted, companies and their technologies will be offered to ministries, agencies and Crown corporations to identify partnerships.

When a match is found, the company will present its technology and will earn a six-month pilot project agreement.

“The MIST program gives our tech startup companies the opportunity to work with the government to improve service delivery for Saskatchewan citizens,” Beaudry-Mellor said.
