“Our customers are telling us the 4:50 p.m. express service is a crucial service for our customers,” Metrolinx CEO Phil Verster said.

Verster also apologized to passengers for the debacle that his customers underwent.
“We are going to make much better preparations this time around to make sure everyone understands what trains have changed in length size and platforms,” he said.
Metrolinx has not announced any plans for a corresponding train for the morning commute.
