Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a 24-year-old man who went on a rampage in downtown Kitchener on Wednesday.
Police say that around 1:10 a.m., the man threw a chair through the window of a business on Ontario Street.

Police finally caught up the man at around 7 p.m. but not before he had vandalized a total of 10 homes and businesses in the area using “tools of opportunity,” Const. Andre Johnson said.
Johnson said the man would “use whatever he could get his hands on” to damage people’s homes and businesses throughout the day.
Police say no one was injured during the destructive rampage and they are uncertain of the incidents’ cost.

They also could not provide a reason as to why the man damaged the homes and businesses on Wednesday.
The suspect has been charged with 10 counts of mischief under $5,000.
