TORONTO – The New Pornographers, the Sheepdogs and Tokyo Police Club are among the Canadian bands performing free outdoor concerts in five cities across the country this summer.
The shows will be presented on the Red Bull Tour Bus, which is stopping in five cities from Vancouver to Halifax.
The Red Bull Tour Bus is comprised of the front end of a 1967 GM transit bus and the rear three-quarters of a 1974 Silver Eagle built on a 2012 Freightliner chassis. The bus, equipped with a hydraulic lift, converts into a concert stage featuring over 120,000 watts of sound.

When fully set-up, the 45-foot bus has a 17- x 15.5-foot stage and a 9- x 12-foot green room furnished with leather sofas and flat-screen TVs.
The tour kicks off with The New Pornographers performing in the Georgia/Cambie Street parking lot in Vancouver on May 4 at 3pm. Shout Out Out Out Out and Cadence Weapon will play in Edmonton’s Sir Winston Churchill Square at 7pm on May 17. The Sheepdogs will hit the stage May 20 at 3pm at Broadway and 10th Street in Saskatoon.
The Red Bull Tour Bus stops at Toronto’s Sugar Beach for a concert by Tokyo Police Club on June 2 at 3pm.
The tour’s last date is June 8 at the Waterfront Warehouse Lot in Halifax for a 7pm show by Matt Mays.
