TORONTO – Oscar-nominated actress Jessica Chastain is returning to Canada next winter to reunite with her The Help co-star Emma Stone.
Chastain has signed on to star in Crimson Peak, a new movie from director Guillermo del Toro that is scheduled to be filmed in Toronto beginning next February.
An Academy Award nominee for her roles in The Help and Zero Dark Thirty, she joins a cast that already includes Stone, Benedict Cumberbatch (The Hobbit) and Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy).

Crimson Peak has been described by del Toro as “a ghost story and gothic romance” set at the turn of the century.
Production will take place at Pinewood Toronto Studios.
Chastain was in Toronto in late 2011 to make the thriller Mama, which was executive-produced by del Toro.
Hunnam spent time in Toronto last year working in del Toro’s sci-fi epic Pacific Rim, which opens in theatres on July 12.
This summer, del Toro will direct a TV pilot called The Strain in Toronto.
