The Cops for Kids team arrived back in Kelowna late Sunday morning after completing a 1,000 km bike ride in support of children in need.
The 30-plus riders, made up mostly of RCMP officers, were greeted by dozens of cheering supporters waiting for their arrival at the Ramada Hotel in Kelowna.
During the 1,000 km ride, the Cops for Kids team stopped in 26 communities throughout southeastern B.C. raising money for children who are sick, disabled or dealing with some kind of trauma.
At the homecoming ceremony, it was announced that Cops for Kids had raised more than $440,000 as a result of this year’s bike ride and the musical ride fundraiser that took place in the summer.
