The reopening of a preliminary hearing for a Calgary couple already committed to stand trial in the death of a five-year-old boy has been delayed until next month.
Allan and Carolina Perdomo are scheduled to stand trial in November in the death of Eneas Emilio Perdomo, who died five days after he was taken to hospital in July 2015.

Eneas was Allan Perdomo’s biological grandson.
Justice Richard Neufeld put the commital on hold and ordered the hearing reopened for one day to allow the defence to question the lead investigator.
However court was told Wednesday that the provincial court judge in the case was unavailable and one of the lawyers was ill.

The hearing will now reopen Oct. 5 although the November trial date is still in place.
