Tightening election laws

Canada’s chief electoral officer says that unless the government acts soon, the next federal election could be mired in controversy.

Marc Mayrand is recommending substantial changes to the Canada Elections Act that would target misleading and fraudulent phone calls – the so-called Robocalls.
