An advisory alert was issued due to a fire burning near the Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp mill and NorSask Forest Products.
The “industrial fire emergency alert” from the rural municipality of Meadow Lake appeared on SaskAlert at 4:33 p.m. CT on Aug. 17.
The blaze was located near the intersection of highways 55 and 903.

Meadow Lake RCMP, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene along with members of SaskPower and SaskEnergy.
Police said no structures were damaged, and no injuries have been reported.
As of 6:55 p.m., the fire was out and traffic was no longer restricted.
Meadow Lake is approximately 275 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
