Motorcyclist sent to hospital after collision in Alliston

A woman from Etobicoke has been charged after a collision in Alliston sent one man to hospital.

According to Nottawasaga OPP, on Friday just before 7 p.m., officers received a report that a vehicle and motorcycle had collided on King Street in Alliston.

Police say the motorcycle was travelling southbound on King Street when the other vehicle suddenly exited from the Zehrs parking lot, colliding with the motorcycle and blocking the southbound lanes.

Officers say the 17-year-old driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the driver of the vehicle was treated for minor injuries.

According to police, the 31-year-old woman was charged with failing to yield from a private driveway.
