Residents in the White Oaks area may be noticing some discolouration in their water Monday morning.

A water main break Sunday released rust into the system, which may have caused the water to appear yellow, officials with the city said.

Crews have been on the scene repairing the water main overnight and expected the water to return to normal by Monday morning, but if residents are still noticing any discolouration, they’re asked to call 519-661-4739.

Officials are stressing that there are no health concerns because of the break, but that the water could stain laundry.
