3 sent to Saskatoon hospital in multi-vehicle crash

Three people have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash in Saskatoon.

It happened at around 10:45 a.m. CT in the northbound lane of Idylwyld Drive near the Avenue C overpass.

A truck driven by 20-year-old man was heading northbound when it rear-ended a vehicle causing a chain reaction involving a total of six vehicles.

Two men and one woman were sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Northbound traffic is being diverted and police said restrictions are expected to be in place for a couple of hours.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Saskatoon police were still on scene as of 4 p.m.
