An 18-year-old Calgary teen is dead after a head-on crash in northern Idaho.
Just before 2 p.m. on Monday, a grey BMW that police said was being driven by the teen crossed the centre line of US95 and collided head-on with an SUV pulling a camping trailer. The vehicle ended up down an embankment, Idaho State Police said in a media release.

The highway is located just north of Bonners Ferry, a city located just south of the Canada/U.S. Border.
Spencer Ritchie, who police said lives in Calgary, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers said his family has been notified.
The other vehicle, a Ford Expedition, stayed on the highway. The 39-year-old California man driving the vehicle was flown to a hospital in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A 36-year-old woman and four youths suffered minor injuries.
Idaho police said everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seatbelt.
