A man who failed to return to his Vancouver halfway house after curfew this weekend has been arrested.
Daine Vonbillings, 58, was serving day parole for a second-degree murder he committed in the mid-1980s.
Vancouver police said Vonbillings was arrested without incident.

Vonbillings disappeared after leaving his downtown halfway house around 6 p.m. on Sunday. At the time, he was driving a pickup truck that he had permission to use.

Vonbillings’ truck was found at Cypress Bowl with its rear window smashed that same day, and he failed to return by his midnight curfew.
