An 18-year-old man is facing a serious charge in connection with a stabbing in Ingersoll last weekend.
Oxford OPP say they were called to a disturbance on Union Street near Bell Street around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Officers say they arrived on scene to find a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was treated and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by paramedics. He was later released.

The suspect in the case was arrested at the scene. Investigators say he and the victim were known to each other.

As a result of the investigation, Oxford OPP say an 18-year-old Ingersoll man has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the case.
Officers say the suspect was released from custody and he’ll return to court in Woodstock on Sept. 4.
