A fire has gutted a home in Coquitlam Tuesday.
Originally, Coquitlam RCMP said homes in the 3000-block of Spuraway Avenue were being evacuated by police due to being in the “potentially dangerous area” of the house fire.
However, the fire is now out.
The wider evacuation of the area is over, but the home that caught fire, along with its immediate neighbours, will stay evacuated for the time being.

Spuraway Avenue is now open to traffic.
Coquitlam RCMP investigators are working with the Coquitlam Fire Department to determine a cause of the fire.
Coquitlam Deputy Fire Chief Rod Gill says when crews arrived the home was fully engulfed in flames.
“We know it did start at the backside of the house; that’s the initial report, but whether it was inside or outside we don’t know at this point,” he told CKNW.
Three adults made it out of the house safely and no one was hurt in the blaze.
