Five people had to be helped after their fishing boat began sinking off Cobourg harbour on Friday morning.
The Canadian Coast Guard were contacted about a boat which was sinking on Lake Ontario about six kilometres offshore.
The CCG deployed a rescue boat which was used to escort the sinking vessel into the marina. They managed to get the boat onto a launch ramp before it sunk.
None of the five occupants wished to comment on the incident. No one was injured.
The crew spent some time draining their vessel before leaving the area.
