Johnny Manziel announces he’s coming to the CFL, has signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Former NFL star Johnny Manziel - AKA "Johnny football" - announced via Twitter video Saturday morning that he's signed a deal to play for the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats – May 19, 2018

The question every Tiger-Cats fan is asking is this: should Hamilton start Johnny Manziel next week?

Before I give you my answer, I’ll tell you why that is question No. 1 in Steeltown.

It’s because the Tiger-Cats are now 2-3 on the season after playing a horrendous second half against Saskatchewan and losing 31-20 against the Roughriders on Thursday night.

LISTEN: Many Ticats fans on CHML’s 5th Quarter say they want Johnny Manziel to start Hamilton’s next game

It’s because this team should — I say should — be at least 3-2 and maybe even 4-1. But they aren’t.

It’s because they are struggling on offence, scoring just 33 points in their last two games and getting only one offensive touchdown in the last two contests — a six-yard TD run from John White.

It’s because this team needs a spark after being swept in their season series against Saskatchewan.

Every Tiger-Cat fan is wondering if Hamilton should start Johnny Manziel next week because every fan sees a shiny new toy on the sidelines who has a world of potential and is making a lot of money as a backup.

Ticats fans, now more than ever, want to see Manziel play.

So if he doesn’t start Hamilton’s Week 7 game against the Ottawa Redblacks, fans sure as heck want to see Johnny Football at some point in the game.

The Cats did not go through all the trouble of signing the former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback so he could sit on the bench and sell a bunch of jerseys.

It’s time for Johnny Football to show us what he’s got.
