A stretch of Speedvale Avenue in Guelph is scheduled to be closed for two days later this month to make way for construction work by Guelph Hydro.
Speedvale Avenue is expected to close between Woolwich and Stevenson streets beginning at 9 p.m. on July 27.
The road is expected to reopen at 9 p.m. on July 29, weather permitting.

A spokesperson for the city said crews need to dig at least three trenches across Speedvale Avenue and the work will require a full road closure.

Pedestrian access on the sidewalks will be limited, but there will be detour signs in place.
All businesses in the construction area will remain open and accessible throughout the weekend, the city said.
Guelph Transit’s Route 12 will be affected by the closure and will be detouring around the area.
