Instead, they had to avoid a pile of pig remains which had spilled from a truck near Brady Road.

Eastbound traffic was down to one lane for several hours and RCMP were asking drivers to take it slow.

The mess was cleared up later in the morning.

Just last month, a driver was taken to hospital after a truck spilled pig remains on the west Perimeter Highway.
