South Simcoe Police have launched an investigation into the cause of a fire at a century home in Bradford.
According to police, on July 1 at around 4 a.m., officers were dispatched to a home on Moore Street after receiving a report of a fire.
Police say due to the size of the blaze, two trucks from Innisfil Fire were brought in to assist three Bradford West Gwillimbury fire trucks battling the fire.
According to police, the cause of the fire is under investigation. Preliminary findings from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal indicate the blaze is suspicious, however, police say further test results are pending.
Police say no one was injured as a result of the fire, and the damage estimate is still being tallied.
Police are asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity near the home to please call the South Simcoe Police at 705-426-2141 or 905-775-3311. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
