An Ontario Provincial Police officer was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle during a traffic stop on Highway 400 overnight.
Police said the incident happened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday on the southbound lanes of the highway near Finch Avenue.
Toronto Paramedics said the officer in his 50s was rushed to hospital in serious condition.

Police said the vehicle that struck the officer fled the scene.
Authorities said they are looking for a dark-coloured sports car.
