Federal inmate unlawfully at large in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Saskatoon police are hunting for 23-year-old Brent Carl Martin after he violated a provincial community supervision order on Monday.

Martin was put on a federal mandatory statutory release and had appeared in court for new charges incurred while serving his sentence.

Officials say he removed his electronic monitoring device and is now considered unlawfully at large.

He had been residing in Saskatoon.

Martin started serving a three-year sentence for aggravated assault in March 2011.

He is described with a medium to strong build, is 6′ 1 ” and 276 lbs. He has brown eyes and black hair.

Officials are asking the public to be cautious and use common sense in the presence of Martin.
