EDMONTON – Two Alberta doctors have been disciplined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons for unprofessional conduct.
Dr. Deanna Watrich has been suspended for 60 days for using computers in the emergency department at Edmonton’s Misericordia Hospital to get access to patient records.

She did not have a professional relationship to the patients.
She told a college tribunal that she did not disclose or use the information in any way and has apologized.
Family physician Dr. Moustafa Adams has been cautioned for not having a chaperone in the room when examining disrobed female patients — a condition that was part of his practice permit.
The Edmonton doctor must now have a chaperone present at all times and the caution against him is to remain on his file in all jurisdictions.
