Bradford woman facing charges after child found alone at residence

A 43-year-old Bradford woman has been charged with failing to provide the necessities of life to a child, after police were dispatched to a home in Bradford.

According to the South Simcoe police, on June 20 at around 11 a.m., officers were dispatched to a home in Bradford for a well-being check.

Police say they received a call from a woman who was concerned about her grandchild’s well-being, and asked officers to check on the youngster.

When police arrived on scene, they found the child alone in the residence which was in substandard conditions.

Police say the child had not attended school that day.

As a result of the well-being check, police charged a 43-year-old Bradford woman with failing to provide the necessities of life to a child and notified child services of the incident.
