A crash between passenger and commercial vehicles left three people dead north of Cache Creek on Thursday.
The crash was reported to police at 11:05 a.m., after two vehicles had collided near the intersection of Highway 97 and Highway 99.

They found that a commercial vehicle was travelling south on Highway 97 when it collided with a passenger vehicle that was going north on Highway 97.

The passenger car was turning left on to Highway 99 when the crash happened.
All three who were travelling in the passenger car, including a child, were killed.

The area around the highway intersection was closed but later re-opened.
The BC Coroners Service is among the investigating authorities.
